STAURO
The product

A compliance officer for your AI. Strict, fast, and impossible to argue with.

Stauro is a system that decides, before an AI agent acts, what that agent is allowed to change in your real systems, and then makes sure only those changes happen. It is not a filter on what the AI says, and it is not a queue of requests waiting for a human. It is the layer that turns the rules your company already has into the exact set of changes an AI may make right now.

The difference

Most AI guardrails ask the AI to behave. Stauro takes the choice away.

How it usually works
The AI decides what to do
A guardrail looks at the request
It is allowed through, or blocked

The AI is trusted to make the call at the exact moment it is under the most pressure to get something done.

And a block is just the start of a negotiation. Someone escalates, someone widens the permissions, and the change goes through anyway.

With Stauro
Stauro reads your rules and today's approvals
It works out what is allowed right now
The AI is offered only that

The wrong action is not blocked. It was never on the menu.

There is nothing to argue with, nothing to escalate, and no master password sitting around for the AI to find and use.

A plain example

An AI is asked to pay a supplier.

The invoice is real, the work was done, and the finance team wants it handled today. Here is what the AI is given to work with.

What the AI can do
  • Release the payment, up to the amount the controller approved and not a dollar more
  • Match the invoice to the purchase order and flag any difference
  • Request a second approval if the amount is over the limit
What the AI never sees
  • Changing the supplier's bank details
  • Paying a supplier who has not been approved
  • Releasing a payment against an approval that expired last week
The routine work still gets done

Looking things up, matching documents, drafting requests, gathering evidence. None of that needs a sign-off, and none of it waits.

The consequential change waits for a person

Once the right person has approved it, the option appears for the AI and the change goes through. No meeting required.

Where it draws the line

Stauro has no opinion on whether a decision is a good one.

It does
  • Work out what an AI may change, from your rules and what is approved today
  • Refuse until the right person, with the right authority, has said yes
  • Remove the need for the AI to hold any standing passwords or keys
  • Keep a record of what was allowed, when, and on whose authority
It does not
  • Judge whether a change is a good idea
  • Replace your approval process, or the people in it
  • Rely on the AI following instructions
  • Depend on prompts, policies or promises the AI can reason its way around

Your people keep making the decisions. Stauro makes sure the AI cannot act until they have.

How you adopt it

Four steps. You decide the pace.

Nothing about your permissions changes until you say so.

Stage 0

Measure

Read-only. We tell you how many changes reached your systems with no approval behind them. Free.

Stage 1

Advise

Stauro shows what it would have allowed, next to what actually happened. It still cannot stop anything.

Stage 2

Run one workflow

One process goes through Stauro. The old way stays open alongside it.

Stage 3

Make it the only way

The AI's direct access is removed. Stauro becomes the only path to that system.

Start with the free measurement. Nothing in your systems changes.
